Develop healthy spiritual habits by signing into 40daysintheword.com for 40 days of memory verses, video devotions, scripture reading, and more. These resources are designed to compliment the daily exercises outlined in your workbook.

MICAH 6:8 ASSIGNMENTS

Select, plan, and initiate a group outreach project. This might be a church-wide project involving all of the small groups in your congregation, or a project just for your group to take on. The nature and scope of the project is up to you.

Ask your small group champion to review a few project ideas we’ve prepared to get you moving in the right direction.

SHOW PROJECTS
  • Provide Give-Bags for the homeless through the Breakfast Together Outreach – Collect basic need items (toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, snack bars, etc.) for the homeless. - for more information, click here.
  • Buy extra groceries this week and donate them into the blue Food Pantry barrels on campus. Serve at the Food Pantry helping to sort food, stock shelves, pack food boxes and hand out food boxes – for more information on donations click here and for information on serving click here.
  • Deliver greeting cards to the Board & Care homes. Bring a smile to the face of someone living in assisted Board & Care homes. Create your own cards or purchase cards, write a note of encouragement. – for more information click here.
  • Learn how to get involved with our local schools by reading to kids. Come to the Read to Kids event February 27, 2012 for information on schools, times to serve and here about one of the greatest needs facing our children today. – for more information click here.
  • Serve our Military with Acts of Appreciation. Help with the planning and preparation for welcome home and deployment events, assemble goody bags for troops or Baby Moses baskets for newborns of military families. – for more information click here.
  • Serve the Aliso Meadows community in Laguna Hills by playing games with the kids & refreshing the red curbs with paint. – for more information, click here.
  • Serve the Kimberly Gardens community in Lake Forest for a work day February 25th. Multiple ways to serve, gardening, general clean up, some light construction opportunities. – for more information click here.
  • Serve children with Homework Club Laguna Hills. Assist 1-6 grade students with their homework on Mondays 4-5:30 during the school year. - for more information click here.
  • Serve Recycling for Bibles. Sort recyclables with your family and Small Group. The money raised from recycling is used to purchase Bibles for those who don’t have access to a Bible both locally and internationally. – for more information click here.
