Hurricane Ian
10/04/2022Hurricane Ian pummeled Florida as a Category 4 storm with heavy rains, powerful winds and a life-threatening storm surge. More than 2 million Floridians are experiencing the devastation of property, loss of power and shortages of food and water. The recovery process is underway with First Responders leading search and rescue efforts and providing food, water and temporary shelter.
Saddleback Church is connecting with pastors in Florida to assess how churches can come alongside the recovery efforts to offer financial, emotional and spiritual support. We will determine how we can best serve Floridians within the next few weeks.
You can be a part of the relief efforts right now:
PRAY
- For the rescue efforts to locate and care for those who are stranded.
- For emotional and physical recovery as survivors cope with loss and trauma.
GIVE
- Make a difference by contributing to Saddleback partner churches who are providing essential assistance such as food, water, critical needs, and shelter.
GO
- We are assessing the needs with our partner churches and determining how to offer support to the communities.
- The Saddleback Relief team will determine how to best support recovery efforts in the coming days.
- Enable trained chaplains to be present to provide care, comfort and compassion during the crisis.
