#WelcomeHome: Where We Ended 2018
01/02/2019 .The new year brings new updates! A quick tour of the building at the start of 2019 shows us just how far God has brought us. Our move should be just around the corner: we look forward to transferring in the next couple of months. And as we start of the year with a campaign on Generous Gratitude, we thank God for the blessings He's given us to prepare this new space for His ministry.
First, the parking area has been levelled off. Fences have gone up around the utility pole and around the borders.
The handicap ramp is taking shape, allowing easier access to the second floor for wheelchairs, strollers, and trolleys. The ramp is located right by the parking lot, and serves as the second back entrance to Saddleback Church on the second floor.
Wood designs are being installed now to the ground floor lobby, stairwell and second floor connection area. The design gives these areas a homey, warm feel.
The Saddleback Kids classrooms now have doors and windows installed. Painting is now ongoing, and ceiling panels are being installed. These rooms are going to get a bright pop of color soon, and it's going to be something your kids will enjoy.
Finally, at the middle of all this space, the worship hall is taking shape. The installed stage is almost complete, along with the tech booth, and acoustic panels are installed in the ceiling. These thin boards are very important, both absorbing sound from the speakers to lessen echo, and minimizing sounds from outside like rain hitting the roof.
