Saddleback’s women’s ministry is launching three exciting opportunities for women this Fall on the Lake Forest campus: the re-launch of MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers), and two new on-campus studies, James and Choose Joy.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is an organization that was started in 1973 by a group of women who were looking for friendship, a creative outlet, and instruction. MOPS is an international organization that gives women a chance to connect and grow while getting a break from stress and the business of being a mom. And, we are proud to announce that Saddleback Church will be offering MOPS to our community’s moms!

In MOPS, women have a chance to take a few hours out of their busy week to breathe and be nourished through community, mentoring, practical instruction, and leadership development. The MOPS meetings include discussion times, teaching, and creative activities for moms while their kids are cared for by Saddleback’s Stepping Stones childcare program.

Saddleback Women’s ministry leader Debbie Eaton knows firsthand the importance of women finding connection with other mothers. “So often when we have kids we get lonely,” says Eaton. “We are so out of our comfort zone. And, MOPS is a place to find friends.”

Treasured is another study geared towards moms. Treasured is an on-campus group whose studies focus on parenting, marriage, and relationships. This fall, Treasured will feature the life-changing book and small group study by Kay Warren called Choose Joy. This study teaches women how to find joy that is not dependent on the circumstances of life; a joy that flourishes when life gets tough. Attendees will learn how to find God when He seems silent and how to have joy when happiness is not present.

The James study will focus on the life and faith of Jesus’ brother and address through his story the topics of faith, hardship, wisdom, humility, prayer, and more. The study will teach women how to put faith into action and take ownership in their walk with Christ.

Hi! I added a comment yesterday, asking if you can offer the James study at night also because I can't attend the day session. I'm taking care of my granddaughter on days. But if it's not possible , can you at least make it 9:00 to 11:00? The kids get out of school at 11:20. Thank you so much for listening to me. Eugenia
