Hi! We are Jill & Tony Wait from Broomfield, Colorado and we are so excited to be launching the Saddleback Denver Extension in a few days! It's been quite a journey so far!

We became familiar with Saddleback Church a few years ago when we read The Purpose Driven Life. Pastor Rick's book was instrumental in leading Tony to a personal relationship with Jesus. Once we moved to Denver, we joined a local church and a small group. When our small group disbanded, we sought God's direction. About six months ago, we discovered the Saddleback Internet Campus. We started watching the archived messages and then realized we could watch the services live every week right here in Colorado! We experienced powerful worship services and heard Pastor Rick and other gifted teachers deliver practical messages from God's Word.

As we began to explore all that Saddleback Church is doing, it was easy to see Saddleback is making a difference in communities everywhere. We wanted to be part of it! We prayed for God to show us how we could be part of the Saddleback family even though we are 1,000 miles away. We had the opportunity recently to attend services at the Lake Forest campus. We got to meet Pastor Rick when he walked up to Tony and gave him a big hug! Every interaction with everyone we met at Saddleback was remarkable -- the whole church appeared to be bursting with love for all people.

We continued worshipping online every week. Soon we felt God calling us to use our skills, passion and our home to share Saddleback with others. So Tony called the church and got connected with the National Church Strategies team. We signed up to host a small group in our home and to start an Extension here in Denver so others can share worship services with us. When we heard Pastor Rick announce he would be teaching the membership class last month, we felt God leading us to make a deeper commitment to the church before reaching out to our local community. So we flew to California and completed the membership process!

Since then, we have been praying and preparing to launch our small group and extension here in Colorado. We can't wait to share Saddleback with others! When Saddleback sings, we sing; when Saddleback prays, we pray; when Saddleback listens to the teaching, we listen. It is OUR church! We thank God we can be part of the Saddleback family and we can't wait to see how God will use our small group and Extension for His Kingdom!
