Dear Saddleback Family,
We're going to continue the series on When Love Speaks: The 7 Last Words of Jesus.
I'll be talking about the significance of Jesus' word of "substitution,"
where Jesus Christ takes our place on the cross and he cries out "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?"
It will be a very powerful message and time of worship, which will include communion this weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing you!
Decade of Destiny Campaign
During the campaign, we're going to have both a small group tract and a weekend tract of sermons both with the same title "When You're Hoping For A Miracle."
Small Group Study
During our small groups, we're going to be studying the 6 Phases of Faith and
how God takes us from: dream, decision, delay, difficulty, dead end, and deliverance. If you're interested in hosting a small group for this special series, CLICK HERE
to sign up today!
What does it take to make a miracle happen in your life? I'm going to be unpacking this question on the weekend during this six-week campaign. This series will kick off March 27-28 with Vision Weekend, where I'm going to share about the Miracle of Expansion and how Saddleback intends to literally explode not only all over Southern California, but around the world with the expansion of church property and new campuses over the next ten years.
starts at 10:00 a.m. on April 4 and you're going to need to get there early! The gates will open at 8:30 a.m. I'm sure many of you have heard that the Jonas Brothers will be there, so you have to make sure you come early and get a seat.
Our church would not be a church without YOU, the body. For our Easter celebration, we're making a giant mosaic of Jesus, comprised of the photos of every Saddleback member. So, we need your photo as soon as possible! Upload your pictures at www.saddleback.com/mosaic
or bring them by the Church Office (your photo will not be returned if sent to the Church Office). If you need to get your picture taken, or are unable to upload a photo on the Website, we'll have PICS photographers available on the patio after every service this weekend.
Would you pray for:
Our PEACE Teams who are in Haiti, Rwanda, Jamaica, and Kenya. We're also doing a massive food drive, where we're hoping to fill 50,000 bags of groceries for families in need in our community, so be praying for how you can be involved
Finally, I have a personal request: we just found out that Pastor Gerald Sharon's wife, Tammy has colon cancer that has spread to her liver and abdominal wall. Pray for a miracle of healing and strength for the entire Sharon family.
Thank you for your prayers. God bless and we'll see you this weekend!
