Bring your family and friends to a pumpkin carving demonstration and contest at the Refinery on October 23 at 6:30 p.m. The Eateries Ministry team will provide the supplies and the pumpkins—all you need to do is show up and be creative. Saddleback Church is partnering with Ralphs grocery stores and the O.C. District Attorney through a program called G.R.I.P. (Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership) to provide Thanksgiving meals for families of at-risk youth. Help bring awareness to this important program that works to keep kids out of gangs.

Pick a two-hour time slot and raise awareness at your local Ralphs by hosting an information table. Sign up today for weekends beginning November 10.
 

San Clemente Building Open House

Join us for the Saddleback San Clemente Open House. This is a tour, at your own pace, with various stations located around the new building with people sharing stories to see the future before construction begins. Guests will have a chance to dedicate the building through prayer for Saddleback, sign the floors leaving a legacy, and show your friends who live in the area the future home of Saddleback San Clemente. This weekend, Saddleback will host author, speaker, and activist Christine Caine. Caine travels the world teaching the gospel and equipping leaders. She’ll be speaking on “The Courage to Let Go of Your Past,” the last message in our Uncommon Courage series.

DENNIS NISBET says, “change your words and change your world!” Learn how to improve the value of your photography by learning communication skills that help others appreciate what you have to offer.
SCOTT TOKAR is a professional magician and published photographer. A viewer’s perception is the common denominator between magic and photography. Scott will teach photography through a mind-bending array of magic tricks.
ERROL ST. CLAIR SMITH is an Emmy award winning 20-year veteran of media and an expert at observing and depicting the world around us. He’ll show you how to see light and shadows, texture and color, position and contrast through your lens.

Expecting and new parents are invited to our Saddleback Kids Nursery Open House. This Saturday, September 29 at 10:30 a.m., you can see what our Saddleback Kids program is all about, meet the staff, and take a tour of the Children’s Ministry Center. Meet us on the first floor of the Children’s Ministry Center in the rReef Room (you’ll recognize it when you see it!) for a time of Q&A. Our Saddleback Kids staff can’t wait to meet you! Blocktober is our annual community event for kids of all ages. On October 31, the Lake Forest campus will be transformed into a giant block party. Don't miss the food trucks, zip line, delicious food and other fun activities. Last year, we had more than 8,000 people in attendance . . . that’s a lot of candy! You can be a part of making Blocktober a success by donating sweets! Drop your candy donation into one of the orange barrels located around the Lake Forest campus.

 

The women’s ministry has five exciting new opportunities for women this fall:

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) — Monday Mornings
Join other young moms for a time of community, mentoring, practical instruction, and leadership development.
Meet other moms with young pre-school children for a time of building friendships, mentoring and encouragement through practical teaching and discussion.

Foundations – Monday Evenings
Foundations is a fresh, innovative curriculum about the 11 core truths of the Christian faith and how these truths are to be lived out in your relationships, your character, and your work.

Treasured — Wednesday Mornings
This study will focus on parenting, marriage, and relationships as we go through Kay Warren’s book, Choose Joy.

Treasured is a gathering for moms of children of any age. The focus of this meeting is teaching and discussion. Your heart will be guided and encouraged towards Christ-centered parenting, marriage, and friendship which will enable you to build a strong faith that impacts your family for generations.


Foundations — Thursday Mornings
Foundations is a study that will give you a deeper understanding of God’s word and the 11 core truths of the Bible.

James: Mercy Triumphs, a Beth Moore Study — Thursday mornings
James is a study by renowned women’s author Beth Moore that will teach you about faith, hardship, wisdom, humility, and prayer through the story of Jesus’ brother, James.

This powerful study will take you through the book of James. You will encounter the truth about who you are in Christ and how this truth will transform your life. You will encounter faith, hardship, humility and prayer that will result in a faith that will explode.
