“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for.  Keep on seeking, and you will find.  Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks, receives.  Everyone who seeks, finds.  And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
-Matthew 7:7-8 (NLT)

God knows and always has and always will know when our lives get stressful, though, it doesn’t always feel like he does.  Life goes up and down, and one week, everything plays out well and there is nothing to worry about, and then all of the sudden, the next week, everything hits you all at once and there is nothing that you aren’t worrying about.  These weeks are the toughest to get through and still trust that God is in control.

For me personally, these past few weeks have just been those couple weeks that are super stressful.  So many things to do at work and at school and they all came at me at the same time.  Fortunately for me though, right before all of this hit me, God showed me this verse, Matthew 7:7-8.  As I read it, I knew He was telling to pray and ask him for relief of my stress.  And just as Jesus had promised in the book of Matthew, God provided what I asked him for.  Being someone who stresses over the smallest of conflicts, I fully knew when God had taken away my worries.  Things didn’t seem overwhelming during the week and at the end of it, everything I needed to get done was done.

This week and over the next month or two, as school is coming to a close, remember what Jesus said in the book of Matthew.  Ask him for comfort.  Ask him for specific things.  If you are confident and trust in God, he will answer and he will provide for you always!
