Purpose Statement

To create a community outreach in a casual setting to testify to the Gospel of God’s grace. To encourage seekers and believers to participate in recreation, leisure, and sports activities which strengthen their family ties as well as their spiritual, emotional, physical, and social well being. Using the strength of the Lord, to lead people into a healthy relationship with God and their own bodies, through Fitness, Faith, Friends, Focus, and Food.

The Daniel Plan team arranges a variety of team and individual sports/fitness activities that encourage participation among people with similar interests. Examples include: Basketball, Triathlons, Golf, Badminton, Road & Mountain Cycling, Surfing, Hiking, Karate, Tennis, Volleyball and a variety of fitness classes including Bootcamp, Zumba and more.

The classes and activities are always open to new participants and are always FREE.

ZUMBA® FITNESS If you want to get into shape while having fun at the same time - then you will want to come to our Zumba® Fitness Class!! Zumba® is a fun, easy to follow, latin-inspired dance fitness program that will help you get in shape and have fun along the way! No registration is necessary! Bootcamp is every Saturday morning in Tent 3 with Coach Tony Lattimore. This class is for ALL fitness levels. Bring a Friend. It's FREE! BOOTCAMP WITH TONY LATTIMORE FROM P90X BOOTCAMP meets every Saturday in Tent 3 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. This is a family-friendly, face paced fitness class. It’s great for all fitness levels. Saddleback Church Road/Mountain Cycling Fellowship is to provide a fun, safe, and healthy way to get away from our normal everyday environment, get some exercise and enjoy the natural camaraderie that road/mountain cyclists around the world experience when riding with others of a kindred spirit. The mission is simple, “ Meet People, Meet God, Ride, Share Good Times With Our Neighbors, Share Our Faith In Jesus Christ, Utilize Cycling To Get Involved In Saddleback Church’s Daniel Plan, and Be An Outreach To Others”. Join us at the local golf course for ministry, fellowship, and the sport of golf. Open to anyone, brand new golfers or seasoned golfers.Saddleback Church invites you and your guests to play golf every 3rd Thursday of the month at 8:30am at Tijeras Creek Golf Course for casual play (golf course does charge to play). Basketball is a fast pace sport. The Refinery Gym host Daniel Plan Basketball twice a week. Saturday mornings anyone over 18 years can come and play. Monday evenings the Refinery court is open for those over 40 who love to play basketball. Anyone is welcome to come for prayer, fellowship, sharing and play in the Refinery Gym on the Lake Forest campus. It's free!!! The Irvine North Campus also host Basketball. Cross fitness training class has a different routine each week. The class focuses on using full body movements to build strength, agility, balance, and coordination at a level of intensity that raises the heart rate enough to build cardiovascular and respiratory endurance. Join this class on Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 7:30pm. This class is FREE!

Interested in playing tennis? The Daniel Plan host tennis for people of all ages and varied levels of experience. There are two locations open to play at. Hiking Group generally hikes twice a month in the Orange County area. Hikers of all levels are welcome. The location varies based on weather. Our Focus is Fun, Faith, Fitness and Friendship, to fellowship and enjoy the beautiful gift that God has given us in the wilderness areas and wildlife that surround us. We are dedicated to exploring Orange County trails and parks, as well as surrounding areas on foot with others in our church and in our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to pass through the waters together in fellowship, in one of Gods greatest creations, the ocean! Come paddle out with us to give thanks to the Lord, enjoy fellowship, and get some amazing solitude on the water! Requirements for participation would be 18 and over, the ability to swim, basic athletic abilities, and a desire for fellowship on the water. The Daniel Plan SUPM paddle out will be at Dana Point Harbor/ Baby Beach. Look for the SUP TO YOU canopy on the north side of the beach. A limited amount of SUPs will be available on a first come, first serve basis at no charge. Stretch & Pray is a Worship Experience class that offers all of the physical benefits of the strengthening postures and is done with scripture, prayer, and worship music speaking to a weekly theme. The classes are coed, non-competitive, and a great way to release stress by breathing in God's goodness and breathing out negativity and toxicity. The benefits of this class include core strengthening, weight loss, lower blood pressure, better posture, and much more. We dedicate our practice to God, worshiping Him fully with our minds, bodies, and souls in fellowship. Come join us! Bring a Mat to lie on. This class is FREE!

Karate class (Traditional Shotokan) at Saddleback Church! Strengthen your body, mind and spirit. Learn focus, discipline, confidence and self-defense. Children's Beginners class, ages 4 to 8 years old 4:45-5:30 pm (parents may participate with their children). Children's Novice class, ages 9 to 12 will be 5:45-6:45pm. Low Back & Core Strengthening fitness class with Dr. Paul Garcia, Chiropractor and Kinesiologist. The class focuses on breathing, relaxation & stretching techniques plus core strengthening to support the lower back. Are you feeling stressed out, tired, overwhelmed, burnt out? Are you experiencing fatigue, pain or discomfort? Would you like to feel more alive, focused, peaceful? Authentic Therapeutic is a completely new form of exercise integrating health for the mind, body and spirit utilizing stretching, core strengthening, postural awareness, breath work and prayer/meditation. At the Lake Forest Campus: Walk & Worship meets Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 6pm - 7pm. The class is separated into 3 fitness levels. Whatever group you choose we exercise with the motivation of serving God at a higher level and lift each other up to achieve fitness goals and stay motivated!! Saddleback MX is a motocross outreach and fellowship focused on Southern California as the home of the national MX scene. We’ve been involved with MX since the 1970s and share the passion you have for the sport! Among the many opportunities to get involved are the following: • Trackside ministry on ride and race days, • Racers’ Chapel services • Serving as Saddleback MX ambassador for your local track, • Local track MX skill clinics, • Supercross “VIP” experience at select AMA professional events, • Staff for our annual camp with expert instructors held on a private, custom built MX track set in beautiful, green rolling hills • And much more! Papi Futbol (Indoor Soccer) is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. New teams will be formed each week and any skill level is welcome. Anyone over 15 years of age can come and play. No registration or fees are required!
