Saddleback's Historic 45,000th Baptism

As part of Daring Faith, bringing more people into the family of Christ—as symbolized by water baptism—is at the heart of Saddleback. As an outward expression of faith, thousands of our members have been baptized.

On October 9, we reached our 45,000th baptism! In fact, between all our campuses, we actually surpassed our goal and baptized 45,743 people in the 36-year history of Saddleback! Baptisms took place at all our campuses, including our international locations in Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, and Berlin.

At our Lake Forest campus, Pastor Rick baptized our 45,000th person, H Alberto Flores, who publically demonstrated and celebrated his faith. Alberto's son stood along side his father and also got baptised duing the historic moment. That weekend, Pastor Rick and Pastor Tom Holladay shared a special message on enduring faith through tough times and the secrets to finishing strong.
