Saddleback en Español
03/24/2017 .We’re just days away from the Easter launch of Saddleback’s 18th campus, Saddleback en Español. To help fill God’s House, our church has been hosting pre-launch celebrations and vision-casting events for this new campus catering to the needs of Latinos in Orange County.
Momentum started on March 5 when members were invited to an orientation lunch introducing the Español Campus Pastor, Fernando Lammoglia and his wife Celsa.
Following our Sunday service, the afternoon gathering was attended by over 230 people who met in Tent 1 at our Lake Forest campus. “Many people signed up for ministry and spent time praying for the Easter launch,” says Ron Keck, Pastor of International and Regional Campuses.
In the wake of this introductory event, residents were invited to Latin Night at Saddleback Lake Forest on March 17. This second pre-launch gathering drew 350 people to the Refinery for a vibrant, spirit-filled evening of Latin-style worship. Capping the evening was a time of international food, fun, and fellowship around fire pits.
“I shared the vision for Saddleback en Español and how everyone can get involved,” says Campus Pastor, Fernando Lammoglia. “We encouraged people to invite their friends to our family spring festival at the end of the month. It was an amazing evening.”
These two pre-launch events are just the beginning for this brand new experience tailored for our Spanish-speaking and bilingual brothers and sisters. On March 26, nearly 500 young people from the community attended the Saddleback en Español Family Festival. Held in Central Park at our Lake Forest campus, the celebration included free hotdogs, popcorn, shaved ice, inflatables, games, raffles, live music, and an Easter egg hunt.
Our members are excited about what Saddleback en Español can do to help fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. To prepare for the April 16 Grand Opening, our Pre-Campus Launch Team is hosting a training session on April 2 and a dress rehearsal on April 9. There will also be a post-launch event taking place on April 23. YOU can be part of launching Saddleback en Español with your prayers and support. “Thanks for your faithfulness as we prepare for the Easter launch,” says Pastor Ron Keck. “Please continue to pray that God would prepare the hearts of folks in these communities as they receive an invitation, take a risk to show up, and then experience the Gospel on Easter at Saddleback!!”
