Pre-Launch Vision Events
09/30/2017 .On December 3rd, Saddleback Church is launching its 19th campus, Saddleback Yorba Linda. As our second campus in North Orange County, this new addition will have the potential to reach the one million people who make up this area. Under the leadership of Pastor Santosh Swamidass, Saddleback Yorba Linda is already gaining traction with vision events and gatherings unveiling opportunities to reach the community for Christ.
On September 10, Saddleback Anaheim hosted the Yorba Linda Vision Lunch, followed by the Yorba Linda Vision Dinner on September 24. At each event, over 300 people gathered for a time of food, worship, and a special message from Pastor Santosh. Already the feedback from these initial events has been tremendous, with over 100 volunteers committed to serving in some capacity.
“It was a time to let people know that Saddleback is coming to Yorba Linda and that we are reaching out to the communities of Brea, Anaheim Hills, Placentia, Fullerton, Chino Hills, and beyond,” says Pastor Santosh. “God is already moving in those areas and we are joining in with what he is doing.”
Based on the theme “You are Loved,” the event cast the vision for Saddleback Yorba Linda as a place where people can experience God’s love, hope, and purpose. Echoing these sentiments was a vision video by Pastor Santosh, as well as a video message from Pastor Rick who challenged members to dedicate several months to helping launch the campus.
“This is something small that is going to grow into something big,” said Pastor Rick. “I encourage you to pray for this campus and join me on December 3rd for the launch of Saddleback Yorba Linda.”
Sharing a word of introduction was Jeremiah Goley, pastor of Saddleback Anaheim. He previously worked with Pastor Santosh who served as Anaheim’s Pastor of Ministry and Missions since 2016. Together they share a heart for what God can do through Saddleback’s impact across North Orange Country.
“God is clearly moving and raising up a core of volunteers and leaders ready to go, care, serve, and love North Orange County,” says Pastor Santosh. “We are laying the groundwork to have a community that is reaching out in love to those who don’t yet know how much God loves them.”
Building on this momentum are upcoming pre-launch events held at Yorba Linda High School including Taste of Saddleback Yorba Linda from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on October 7. The campus will also be hosting a Community Block Party from 12:00 to 3:00 on October 22.
