Our weekend services are designed with children in mind! Each child is taught in an age-appropriate environment. From Nursery to grade six our desire is to see each child be cared for in an individual way. Each of our Saddleback Kids leaders has been through an extensive orientation process and has been screened to work with your child. From loving care in the nursery to radical music in "The Edge," your child will be cared for and taught God’s Word in a safe, loving and encouraging environment.

Saddleback Babies is our Weekend Nursery Program for babies, birth – 23 months. The program is divided into four developmental stage categories; Infants (birth until crawling), Crawlers (crawling but not walking), Walkers (new walkers) and Toddlers (steady walkers through 23 months). Our weekend program for Saddleback Babies is designed to meet the spiritual and developmental needs of our babies while providing a safe and playful environment.
Common Questions asked by parents visiting for the first time:
Who will care for my baby while I am in a Worship Service?
Each of our volunteers has completed a Saddleback Kids New Leader Orientation Class including age-level training, an understanding of our safety/security polices and a fingerprint background check. This process is to provide your child with the best possible care in a secure child-friendly environment.
How do I check in my baby?
At the time of check-in, a loving and trained volunteer leader will greet you. You will be asked to provide us with a cell phone number you have in your possession. In the event we need to contact you during service, we will send you a text message. (Remember to leave your cell phone on vibrate/silence during the service.) If your child cries, our caring volunteer leaders will immediately soothe your child. If your child cries for an extended period of ten minutes, we will text you.
You and your child will receive a check-in tag specific to your child. To ensure their security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding tag.
What do I bring?
Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name before arriving at your child's class.
1. Two disposable diapers. Please no cloth diapers.
2. Pacifier or other item your child needs for comfort.
3. A complete change of clothes.
4. A bottle of milk, formula, juice or water. (This is a good practice even for mothers who nurse.)
What will my baby do while I am at the Worship Service?
Our weekend program is organized into the following structure: Play Time/Learning Centers, Bible Story and Verse, Sing-a-Long and Snack. Your child (except infants) may even get a buggy ride and our Toddler program includes an “indoor” playground for their enjoyment!
What snacks are available for my baby?
Our Children’s Ministry Center is a peanut-free environment. Snacks are provided for your child once they graduate to the Crawler classroom. The food items consist of “Trader Joes O’s” for Crawlers and “Nilla Wafers” for Walkers and Toddlers. Please inform the leader if your child has an allergy to either of these snacks.
What is the Saddleback Babies well-baby policy?
We operate a well-baby program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry, we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (four days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other signs of illness. We request that you not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you in advance for helping us to keep our Saddleback Babies program a healthy place!

Welcome to Saddleback Kids & “The Extreme”!
Grades 3 and 4
The Extreme is an awesome place for your child to hang out with us during a Weekend Service! They will have the opportunity to climb an indoor rock wall, play an exciting game of foosball, play video games or observe the reptiles in the “Lizard Lounge!”
More importantly, kids will learn truths from the Bible presented in a relevant way that address kid issues and how they are living today! With energetic and interactive worship led by peer worship leaders, your child will have a blast in the Extreme! Our prayer is that they will not only want to come back each week, but that they will want to bring their friends!
When entering the classroom, your child will connect with a friendly and fun volunteer leader! They will be checked into our computer system and given a name tag for personal identification. The parent/adult checking a child into the classroom will also be given an identification label necessary to present at the close of the service to release the child. For the safety of our children, an adult MUST check-in and check-out children.
