This is incredibly common! We are generally so busy and around noise throughout the day, it can be very easy for our minds to wander when we are trying to be silent. Here are a couple of tips for what to do when you find yourself getting distracted while praying:

• Tell God about it! Tell God what you are struggling with and ask him to help.
• Take a few minutes before your prayer time slot to do a calming activity — stretching, taking deep breaths, listening to a calming song you like, etc.
• Keep a notebook handy during your prayer time. If a distracting thought keeps coming up, write it down so you can come back to it later.
• Did you know it's okay to pray with your eyes open? Even something as simple as this may help keep you focused.
• Try going on a 30-minute walk for your prayer time.

Don't worry! If you miss your time slot, take the next available 30 minutes in your day to spend in prayer. You don't need to re-sign up — just pray. If keeping your time slot is a struggle, consider signing up for a different time that's better for you, or set a reminder on your phone to alert you five or 10 minutes before you're set to start praying.

Of course! Right now, if you need to change your time slot for any reason, the best way to do so is to cancel your time slot and sign up for a new one. There is a cancellation link at the bottom of the confirmation email you received when you first signed up. Click the link and follow the instructions to cancel your time slot. Then sign up for a new time slot.
