Kid's Small Groups starts in 12 days!

Kid's Small Groups starts in 12 days! We're looking forward to an amazing KSG year... Wednesday nights, 6-7:30 at the SCMC. You can get your registration form on Sunday at church, or email me and I'll send one over. Fill it out and bring it to church Sunday or to the SC offices during the week.

Helpful Resources for All Parents

Here are some helpful resources for all parents... check them out before making media choices for your kids!

www.commonsensemedia.org is a great site that gives you game ratings, why it got the rating, and what families can talk about because of the game. It also covers other media types as well such as movies, music, books, apps ect. I really like the information on this site and they are great at updating it.

www.pluggedin.com also does music, movies, video games and more. It is done by Focus on the Family so it is a Christian based site. They don't seem to update as often as Common Sense Media, but they do try to.

www.kids-in-mind.com focus' on movies only and really breaks down the movie into a rating consisting of 3 points: Sex and nudity, Violence and Gore, and Profanity. Not a bad reference if you are wondering exactly what bad stuff is in the movie.
