New Beginnings in Buenos Aires - Campus Sees First Baptisms Since Launch
04/17/2014 .Dressed in his typical casual Sunday attire, Saddleback Buenos Aires Pastor Seba Ojeda recently asked his congregation to take a public stand of their faith in Christ through baptism. After opening its doors just six short months ago, the campus has become a place where locals have found a sense of family and belonging. The friendly, casual atmosphere where “loving people first” is a priority has grown the congregation to more than 150 people for worship every weekend. “In Saddleback, we have found an amazing family, love, harmony, and peace,” a regular attendee shares.
Ten people answered Pastor Seba’s invitation for baptism — the first in the campus’ history. A crowd of church family stood by anticipating this important event, sharing in the emotions and celebration of this significant moment a believer’s spiritual journey. One of the baptized explained, “The happiness in my life started at Saddleback Church. I’m the first baptism from Saddleback Buenos Aires, and it feels great.”
This historic time marked new beginnings for both Saddleback Buenos Aires and those who were baptized. A smiling Pastor Seba proclaims, “It was a very special day for our church. Perhaps the happiest day since we started.”
