From HIV Victim to HIV Caregiver

Augustin was sick, but he didn’t know why. When he tested positive for HIV, Augustin experienced the stigma associated with his diagnosis. He was ashamed to take his medicine, making him even more sick. His church provided him with support and encouragement, which taught him to accept his health status. It also gave him a heart to offer that same support and encouragement to his community.
