    A Welcome Home for Orphans

    10/28/2016 .
    Madeline Takata  .  Storytelling Intern

We are called to care for the orphan.

Kimi and Chad Crow are awakened to the sound of little feet running through the halls of their Buena Park home. The giggling and energetic activity this early in the morning rings in another day for these busy parents of four, soon to be five. Kimi, who is five months pregnant, sets the table and finishes up the pancakes while Chad rallies the kids, Emmi, Bentley, Halston, and Colton. With everyone finally sitting together at the table, Mom and Dad help the kids assemble their pancakes, topping them with strawberries, whipped cream, and syrup. Smiles and chatter surround the kitchen table.

From the outside, the Crow family seems ordinary. Yet looking deeper, the husband and wife duo are living out a unique call that God placed on their hearts — orphan care.
