Marie's Story

"I came from a dysfunctional family, with a mother who had a volatile temper and died when I was 10. My father had a difficult time dealing with the stress and was unable to give me emotional support. My husband and I represent the 67 percent of CR who do not struggle with chemical addiction, but came because we were struggling with a lot of life issues. CR has enabled us to be honest with our struggles, and has been a safe place to land and grow. I am thankful because I am the closer to God, and he has surrounded me with so many gracious and loving people at CR."
