Purpose Statement
To help people find freedom from hurts, habits and hang-ups including addictions, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.The purpose of Saddleback Church´s Celebrate Recovery ministry is to fellowship and celebrate God´s healing power in our lives through the "8 Recovery Principles." This experience allows us to "be changed." We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God´s grace in solving our lives´ problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.
Related Ministries
Celebration Place is our children's program (birth through 6th grade) that compliments Celebrate Recovery. While adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, kids discover the same truths in age appropriate ways! Please be advised parents or legal guardians must check in and check out their own children. Friends or other family members cannot check in or check out children. In addition, as a safety measure, when a parent loses a check-out sticker, the parent must provide a driver’s license in order for staff to release the child. PARENTS MUST REMAIN ON CAMPUS WHILE THEIR CHILD IS IN OUR CARE. Celebration Place gives kids…Hope for all the amazing things God has in store for them...Truths that help them overcome life’s challenges by learning to lean on Jesus...Joy as they embark on a wonderful, year-long journey of songs, games, videos, impactful experiences, and great conversation...Friendships with other children. The Landing consists of the same great lessons as Celebrate Recovery, but is tailored to hurting teens in 7th-12th grade. The Landing provides a safe place for teens to share while learning how to become the person God made them to be and experiencing the freedom Jesus offers. If you'd like to volunteer at The Landing, we have opportunities to teach the curriculum, lead a small group and help with set up/tear down. Click the Volunteer button to find out more!
