Daniel: Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar's Dream

Hey parents! Use these questions as a guide to talk over this week’s Bible story called Daniel and Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream with your child after they’ve watched this week’s Church at Home elementary video. And remember, I am faithful when I ask God for help.

1. What was your favorite part of the video we just watched?
2. Have you ever had to ask someone for help? How did it make you feel?
   No one has all the answers or can do all things except for God. It is good to ask for help when we need it.
3. Who in our Bible story didn’t have faith in God? Who did?
   King Nebuchadnezzar did not have faith in God. When he didn’t understand his dream, he started to panic and was ready to give up. Daniel showed faithfulness because he went straight to God for help to understand the dream. We can show faithfulness by going to God first like Daniel.
4. What happens when you ask God for help?
   He always helps us! It might take time to see or understand how he is helping in a moment, but don’t get discouraged! God’s plans are always good. Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” This means if we love and follow God, he will work things out for his good. Even if things are hard, we can always have the hope of Heaven because of Jesus!
5. Daniel asked other people to pray with him. Who can you ask to pray with you when you need help?
   Sometimes God helps us by giving us people who love us and want to help us! This might be a parent, sibling, friend, coach, or teacher. Anyone you trust who loves you and loves God is a great person to ask for help!
6. What is something in your life you need help with right now?
   Let’s pray to God together right now for help understanding the situation you’re in. Ask him to give you wisdom and point you to a Bible verse to encourage you today.
