What is a Watch Party?

  • A Watch Party is an opportunity for those who don't live near a physical Saddleback Campus to bring church into their home. We believe church is not limited to certain locations or buildings. Wherever you are, you can experience church with others by hosting a one-time Watch Party. Invite others in your local community to watch service, connect, and worship together.

Why Watch Parties?

  • Watch Parties are a unique and easy way to gather people for fellowship and worship. Whether you've been joining online for a while or just started, Watch Parties allow you to share that experience and introduce Saddleback to others. It's an opportunity for anyone, no matter where they are, to have meaningful face-to-face connection with those right in their community. Participate in worship, enjoy a sermon, grow spiritually… but do it together.

When should I host a Watch Party?

  • You can host a Watch Party anytime, anywhere! Watch Parties aren't limited to the weekend. Choose a day of the week that works best for you and any service whether it's live or on-demand.
  • Christmas and Easter: The holidays are a great time for connection where many people will be open to an invitation.
  • Small Group Next Steps: Hosting a Watch Party with your small group can be an outreach tool. Looking to be more active in ministering to others? Have each group participant invite a few friends to a Watch Party hosted by your group.
  • Reaching the Unchurched: Hosting a Watch Party is an opportunity to reach people outside of your small group. Have you ever wanted to invite a friend to church but you don't live near a physical Saddleback campus? Maybe inviting them to small group sounds too intimidating? Host a Watch Party! On your own or with your small group, invite friends, neighbors, or co-workers to join.

What do I need to host a Watch Party?

  • All you need is a place to gather, a device to watch service on, and a willingness to connect with others, we provide the rest! When you sign up to host a Watch Party you will receive tips and tools on how to host, downloadable resources (including invitations and service handouts), and a personal contact to answer any questions you may have.
