Day 10: Pray for Their relationship With Jesus
March 29, 2023 .“But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” (2 Peter 3:8-9, NLT)
God may not be on your schedule, but he's always on time. However, if there is any perceived delay from our point of view, it is because he is being patient for our sake. What I love so much about this Scripture is Peter reveals God's enormous heart for those that do not know him. God desires to see everyone in relationship with him for eternity. He doesn't want anyone lost to the destructive clutches of sin. The reason he has "delayed" that glorious day, when Christ returns for his beloved people, is to give us more time to share his love with the lost. How wonderful is his love that he would want all to not perish, but to have eternal life! This is the heart of God.
Today as you pray for relational breakthrough, does that person have a relationship with Jesus Christ? Ask God to give you a sense of urgency to share his love and hope with that person at the right time. And as you pray, picture God's hand cheering you on as you share his love, while his other hand holds back the day of judgment to give you more time to
