Praying for the Dixie Fire
08/15/2021Join us in praying for those impacted by the Dixie Fire in Northern California. The fire, which has spread to 570,000 acres across four counties, has become the second largest in California’s history and remains only 31% contained. The US Forest Service has deployed about 21,000 federal fire fighters thus far to fight the blaze which has carried on for over a month.
Saddleback Relief will be working with local churches affected by the fires in the coming season as they look to respond and rebuild.
Jesus, just as you commanded the wind and the waves, we know you reign over the conditions in Northern California, and we ask you would bring an end to the fires. Please be with all those impacted as a result of the blaze – would they know you are with them and would they feel your comfort. Let your Church be a source of hope even in the midst of these challenging circumstances. Amen.
