#WelcomeHome: Let Them Come and See

“Great churches are built on love.” – Pastor Rick Warren

Saddleback Sta. Rosa has been in the Philippines since 2014. For all these four years, we have been dreaming of a space of our own, and early next year this vision will be fulfilled.

As excitement builds though, we’re keeping in mind one key though Pastor Rick taught in his book, The Purpose-Driven Church: “No building (or lack of one) should ever be allowed to control, limit, or distract people from worshiping God.” God did not give us this building for our convenience, nor is it a monument to success: God is letting us move in so we may make his love available to as many people as we can.

This building will be a place for less busy work and more relationship building. It’ll be a place where people will feel welcome to come and see what church is about. It’ll be a place to grow alongside our community into God’s purposes of fellowship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism, and worship. It’ll be a place rooted in love.

We want it to be as easy as possibly for people to attend. Apart from being blessed with a space just a 2-minute ride away from the main road, we wanted to be sure we had plenty of parking. If we don’t have a place for your car, we won’t have a place for you.

Thanks to God’s amazing grace and the faithful prayer and fasting of our congregation, the building owners secured the property at the back of the building for a parking lot that can fit over 120 cars. Just some days ago, they began clearing out the space and adding fencing.

Apart from this, our building team has been hard at work at making this space more accessible. They will soon start work on a handicap ramp that will allow easier access to our second floor worship space. They’ve also been planning alongside the building owners and other potential tenants to make sure the area is secure and friendly for children and families.

We can’t wait to open our home next year to each and every soul that walks in through our doors.
