    Hula Ministry

    Purpose Statement

Ka’Ohana Ho’Onani (Family of Praise) is the hula ministry of Saddleback Church, established in 2004. From different cultures and backgrounds, our kupuna and wahine enrich the worship experience by sharing the joy and beauty of hula dance.

Following Hawaiian customs, we learn specially crafted choreography to meles, while understanding the movements of hula ‘auana, the importance of respecting the hula, and good stewardship of the ‘aina.

As hula ohana—and family in Christ—we are involved in Bible study, prayer, and fellowship through weekly rehearsals. Our team also actively participates in outreaches throughout the year, sharing the love of God at Hawaiian festivals and community events.

Whether you’re experienced or a beginner, age 7 and up, come and worship with us! Mahalo!
