The Landing - CR for Students

Purpose Statement
To help students work through their hurts, habits, and hang-ups and find hope, healing, and purpose through Jesus Christ. The Landing consists of the same great lessons as Celebrate Recovery, but is tailored to hurting teens in 7th-12th grade. The Landing provides a safe place for teens to share while learning how to become the person God made them to be and experiencing the freedom Jesus offers.
If you'd like to volunteer at The Landing, we have opportunities to teach the curriculum, lead a small group and help with set up/tear down. Click the Volunteer button to find out more!

As soon as we get through this pandemic, we will go back to face-to-face meetings only.

Here’s what they look like.
The online group is gender and issues specific. It is led by a trained leader from Saddleback’s Celebrate Recovery. All members are committed to being alone in the room they are in.

The CRCR guidelines must be used every time. The leader is subject to remove anyone who is not following the guidelines.
The CRCR guidelines are:

Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts, feelings, and actions. Please limit your sharing to 3-5 minutes.

There is NO cross talk please. Cross talk is when two people engage in a dialogue during the meeting. Each person sharing is free to express feelings without interruptions. This also includes digital chatting.

We are here to support one another. We will not attempt to “fix” one another.

Anonymity and Confidentiality are basic requirements. What is shared in the group stays in the group. The only exception is when someone threatens to injure themselves or others.

Offensive language has no place in a Christ-centered recovery group.

All members must use headphones. This will ensure that no one else can overhear what is shared in the group.

All members must be on camera. If the group leader asked, they must show the rest of the group that no one else is in the room.

The meetings will not be recorded.

Saddleback Lake Forest CRCR groups are for Saddleback members.
If you would like more information on joining one of these groups, please email us at SaddlebackCRCR@saddleback.com

Celebrate Recovery will resume regular meetings when the current COVID-19 quarantine is lifted

What Is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to address destructive or compulsive behaviors, unhealthy relationships, addictions (drugs, alcohol, food, pornography), anger, shame, codependency (addiction to people and control), past abuse and so much more. Step Studies are a safe place to work through the Jesus-centered 12 Steps in a gender specific group. They are a minimum one-year commitment and meet on different nights of the week. It's a place where the “why” behind addictions and behavior can finally be uncovered and freedom can be found. We consider this a “heart to heart” experience.

There are also Celebrate Recovery meetings at the following Saddleback campuses: Anaheim, Corona, Newport Mesa, Laguna Woods, Rancho Capistrano, San Clemente.

Celebration Place is our children's program (birth through 6th grade) that compliments Celebrate Recovery. While adults explore topics that bring healing and wholeness, kids discover the same truths in age appropriate ways! A $4 fee covers the care and services provided each week. Please be advised parents or legal guardians must check in and check out their own children. Friends or other family members cannot check in or check out children. In addition, as a safety measure, when a parent loses a check-out sticker, the parent must provide a driver’s license in order for staff to release the child. PARENTS MUST REMAIN ON CAMPUS WHILE THEIR CHILD IS IN OUR CARE. "The Celebration Place dream is to put Celebrate Recovery out of business by breaking the cycles of dysfunction in our families." ~ John Baker. Celebration Place gives kids…Hope for all the amazing things God has in store for them...Truths that help them overcome life’s challenges by learning to lean on Jesus...Joy as they embark on a wonderful, year-long journey of songs, games, videos, impactful experiences, and great conversation...Friendships with other children.
