    Description

Come see how to create meaningful ceramic tiles with Jim Dobbs. Jim has been creating organic tiles that have textures and words imprinted into the surface. Jim's tiles are purposed for helping people in grief by giving them a gift that connects with their experience. We plan to use the tiles to teach Kintsugi workshops, which is mending broken things with finished gold lines. You can create these with us in the future to give people gifts of beauty. This session will end earlier than usual, at 3:15 PM

About this week's maker: Jim Dobbs has served Saddleback Church as Creative Director, Communication Arts as well as Pastor of Communications and Campus Experience, Community Outreach and Evangelism.  Jim is passionate about artistic expression and the ways that it can help anyone deepen their bond with God. Whether you consider yourself a “creative” person or not, this workshop is designed for you because you were made in the image of a creative God.  Jim received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Biola University.

About The Program: You were made by the Creator in His image.  You might say you were born to create!  Meet the Makers allows you to meet and learn from Saddleback Church artists in an informal setting.  Every week a new maker will welcome you, demonstrating their talent and inviting you to take part in an artistic experience.  Join us every Saturday from 1:00-4:00 at the Art Center (Tent 1).  No registration is necessary.  Drop in to visit at anytime during Open Create Hours.

This session will end early at 3:15 PM
