It's a symbol of your new life as a Christian.
"Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!" 2 Corinthians 5:17
"By our baptism, then, we were buried with him and shared his death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from death . . . we also might live a new life." Romans 6:4
Baptism does not make you a believer — it shows that you already are one! Baptism does not "save" you, only your faith in Christ does that. Baptism is like a wedding ring. It's the outward symbol of an inward commitment you've made in your heart.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8, 9
Small Groups are a great place to make new friends with other Couples who are also pursuing a happy and healthy marriage. They are typically groups of 3-6 Couples who hang out weekly for Bible study, prayer, and friendship. Counseling and Support Groups
Our Saddleback Counseling Ministry welcomes marriages seeking help. The role of a Saddleback Counselor is to provide Christ-centered counseling to marriages seeking guidance through our church. Whether you're facing financial struggles or personal and relational struggles, the counseling Saddleback offers will walk with you through these hard times.
Premarital Mentoring
Thinking about getting married? Meeting with one of our mentors will help bring greater clarity to your relationship and give you tools to help improve your relationship. In addition to better preparing you for the challenges of marriage, going through our pre-marital mentoring satisfies the requirement to be married by a Saddleback Pastor.
