Rick's team update!

Dear Saddleback Family,

Thank you for signing up to be a part of Pastor’s Rick social media outreach team. You will be joining thousands of Saddleback members to make a significant impact spreading hope all over the world for the next 90 days … we are calling it the #DailyHopeChallenge.

For the next 90 days, we want you to challenge yourself to share hope every day in at least one of the following 3 ways:

1. “Like” Hope Daily: This is the simplest and easiest way to participate in this challenge. Click “like” on posts from Saddleback and Pastor Rick’s social channels every day. Social media platforms reward posts that have more likes, so by simply “liking” posts, you are helping more people see the post, which means more people are receiving hope daily. This will only take a few seconds every day — just make sure you are following Saddleback and Pastor Rick on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter. The links to each one will be below.
2. “Share” Hope Daily: Every day, Pastor Rick sends out a short daily devotional called Daily Hope. This is a powerful tool that you can use to encourage your friends and family during life’s toughest times. Share Daily Hope on your social channels every day for the next 90 days and see how God uses your influence to bring hope to those who need it. The people who follow you are your mission field. God has given you that platform to share the hope and gospel of Jesus Christ. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to steward your influence! Simply follow Pastor Rick on Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter, and click “Share” to repost his short devotional on your channel. You can even personalize it by sending it to a friend by direct message or text. And tell them that you were thinking about them and that you just want to encourage them. This will only take a few minutes every day.
3. “Spread” Hope Daily: There are many ways that you can spread hope every day on your channels. So get creative! Maybe it’s a photo you took while spending time in creation reflecting on how great God is … share it! Maybe God showed up in a miraculous way and fulfilled a long-awaited promise … share it! Or maybe you read a verse that gave you hope when you needed it most … share it! We want you to get creative on spreading hope on all of your social platforms. We will be sending you ideas and things to share along the way. BUT we only ask that you do one thing: include #DailyHopeChallenge on your posts and answer the question, “What gives me hope?” If we all participate, we can make this hashtag trend! How cool is that ... we can make HOPE go viral!

Remember, all we must do to make Jesus famous is to lift him up! And he promises to draw people to him: “And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself” (John 12:32). This means we don’t need to convince people of Jesus — we just need to show the world where Jesus is showing up in our lives! He’ll do the rest!

I’m so excited to see the impact our church will make over the next 90 days and the lives that we will reach with the Good News of Jesus. We’re going to have fun, and YOU will make a difference for eternity!

As I mentioned above, we will be sending you things to post and ideas for you to Spread Hope Daily! But you must accept the challenge, and start today!
