    Remembering Pastor John Baker

    02/27/2021

On February 23, our Saddleback family unexpectedly lost a giant of the faith. Pastor John Baker served at Saddleback Church for decades — as a volunteer, on staff, as a pastor, and eventually as an elder. He co-founded Celebrate Recovery®, a ministry that has helped millions of people around the world heal from their hurts, habits, and hang-ups. His humble service for God’s kingdom is immeasurable.

Memorial services for John Baker will be available online. Times have not been determined yet, so please check back soon.

The Baker family wants to thank you for the outpouring love they have received from all over the world. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family ask that you remember the legacy of Pastor John Baker by giving to the two things he invested his life in, Celebrate Recovery and Saddleback Church. To give, please click donate below.

Please continue to keep his wife, Cheryl, their children, Johnny and Jeni Baker, and Laura and Brian Gibney, and all their grandkids in your prayers.
