Premarital Counseling

Purpose Statement
The premarital counseling ministry prepares engaged couples and couples seriously considering engagement for a marriage based on Biblical principles to help ensure a lifelong commitment to each other. The Premarital Counseling Ministry is a program pairing an engaged couple with a seasoned couple who have a strong marriage to help an engaged couple apply biblical principles to their future marriage. The cost of the program is $150.00 for members and $250.00 for non-members. Saddleback Church attendance is NOT required to participate in this program. To start the process, please contact the church at least four months prior to your wedding date. In addition, please fill out this form for both the bride and groom to help us get to know you and let us know about your wedding plans by filling out this second form (both of which are located below). The bride and groom questionnaires need to be filled out SEPARATELY. Once you have submitted the three forms, please contact Sue Blagg at sueb@saddleback.com or 949-609-8389.
Our Premarital Ministry Counselors are a husband and wife team who have been married at least ten years in a strong, Christ-centered marriage. The training is six weeks and the sessions cover conflict resolution, marriage vision statement, sex in marriage, expectations in marriage, needs, roles and responsibilities.
