Local PEACE and Spiritual Maturity
10/21/2016 .As part of our Daring Faith campaign, we want to train 25% of our members to be global leaders in the church and ministry, in business and the community, and in the arts and media. This past month, several of our key ministries hosted training events including the local PEACE Team and the Spiritual Maturity Team.
On October 10, local PEACE hosted the Quarterly PEACE Leader Gathering at the Lake Forest campus. The event served as training for local PEACE leaders who attend three Quarterly Leader Gatherings each year to discuss ways to equip our members.
Under the direction of our Spiritual Maturity Team, over 100 members have committed to being trained in Teaching to Change Lives (TCL). This is Saddleback’s spiritual maturity pathway for developing effective communicators, and equipping them to lead through our teaching ministry. Those who participate in the program are trained to teach CLASS 101-401 and Foundations throughout our Southern California campuses.
On October 9, an intimate group of 30 people gathered for the TCL coaching session at our Lake Forest campus. During the two-hour meeting, members presented CLASS 101-401 material to one another in an effort to master the skill of training others.
“They are giving feedback to one another,” says Pastor Doug Jones of the Spiritual Maturity Team, “In the process, they are receiving feedback from their coaches, as they train to become the best communicators that they can be.”
If you missed out on this session, email Maturity@Saddleback.com for future training opportunities.
