1.  CHRISTMAS IS FOR ALL PEOPLE.

Fake News: Christmas is for Christians.

"He does not want anyone to be lost, but he wants all people to change their hearts and lives."          2 Peter 3:9b (NCV)

"For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people."           Titus 2:11 (NIV)

"For God does not show favoritism."              Romans 2:11 (NIV)

"God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life." John 3:16(NCV) 

2.  ALL PEOPLE CAN HAVE GREAT JOY.

Fake News: I don't deserve it.

"So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift." Romans 4:16a(NLT)

"Great is the LORD! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness." Psalm 145:3 (NLT)

"I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him."       Romans 15:13a (NLT)

3.  GREAT JOY STARTS WITH GOOD NEWS.

Fake News: You can find joy where you want to.

"Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."                                  Luke 2:11-12 (NIV)

"The Good News shows how God makes people right with himself—that it begins and ends with faith."            Romans 1:17a (NCV)

4. GOOD NEWS MUST BE TOLD.

 Fake News: People will figure it out for themselves.

"After seeing him, the shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child." Luke 2:17 (NLT)

"So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ."    Romans 10:17 (NLT)

"And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?"          Romans 10:14b (NLT)

"Jesus said to his followers, 'Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone.'"          Mark 16:15 (NCV)
