Scriptures: Deuteronomy 1:2-3 (NLT); Isaiah 54:2-3 (NIV); Matthew 9:36-38 (NLT)
Hebrews 11:1 (NLT); Numbers 14:24 (NIV)
Key Points:
God's vision for my life is . . .
- Delayed through disobedience and fear.
- Accelerated through obedience and faith.
ACTION PLAN: Read Deuteronomy 1:2-3. Go for a walk around the block and think about your own journey. Where has your disobedience or fear slowed your progress into God's vision for your life? Where has it been accelerated through obedience and faith? Take whatever step you need to lean into obedience.
Accelerate God's Vision for Our Future Through:
- The expansion of God's kingdom by investing in our campuses, planting churches, and expanding our international reach.
- The innovation of digital spiritual growth by creating life-changing discipleship tools for the global church.
- The development of future leaders by laying the groundwork for the training of new ministry leaders.
- The extension of P.E.A.C.E. relief efforts by feeding families in need and resourcing churches in regions affected by natural disasters and global conflict.
- The accomplishment of the Great Commission by partnering with Finishing The Task to see a Bible, a believer, and a body of Christ in every people group on the planet.
ACTION PLAN: As Pastor Andy described specific ways we will accomplish God's vision; he asked us to identify which area our hearts were drawn to. Re-read the list and ask God if, in addition to praying and giving, he wants you to join God by going. Your next step could be taking CLASS 301 to learn how your SHAPE can be used by him to accomplish his will. Sign up using the following web address: www.saddleback.com/class.
ACTION PLAN: Instead of a monetary amount for this campaign, the goal set by our church leadership is 100% participation. Sometime during this week, ask him to give you clarity. What does He want you to give to Accelerate this vision? If you are married, pray with your spouse, and ask the Lord to reveal what your gift is to be from your family. Trust the one who has already proven himself faithful to you to do it again, then give.
