ACTION PLAN: If you’ve found yourself in a distant country, the road home can be found at Celebrate Recovery. Go toCelebrateRecovery.com to find a Celebrate Recovery meeting near you.
ACTION PLAN: Grab a pen and some paper and create a word picture that describes the facial expression the Lord has when he looks at you. Then, read through the Prodigal Son story again (Luke 15:11-24). Write a note of thanks to him that whether all is well with your soul, or you need his grace, his expression is always one of love and mercy toward you.
ACTION PLAN: The son was given four gifts when he returned to his father: a robe which covered his shame, a ring which restored his authority in his father’s home, sandals which proved he was a son and not a servant and finally, he was celebrated for having returned home. These gifts were given to you when you returned home. In your quiet times this week, think about what these mean in your life. Give thanks to God for each of these gifts and for what they mean to you.
