- Tell nobody what they did.
- Don’t let them be afraid of you.
- Help them to forgive themselves.
- Let them save face.
- Protect them from their darkest secret.
- It is a life sentence.
- Bless them.
PERSONAL ACTION PLAN: In the bigger hurts that you’ve experienced, what makes it difficult to accept that forgiveness as a life sentence? Write out the prayers for your enemies that God is showing you to make daily. As hard as it may seem, as an act of freedom, write out prayers of blessing for them.
FAMILY ACTION PLAN: Take time this week to talk as a family about what forgiveness means in your family. Talk about what total forgiveness can and should look like and make a plan for how you want to approach forgiveness as a family.
