Message Notes:
Bible verses to study: Romans 12:1–2
ACTION PLAN: Dive into Romans 12:1 – 2 by studying these verses. As you look at these verses, ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding of what God wants you to know. Ask questions about how to apply these verses such as, is there a lesson to learn? Is there a priority to change?; is there a command to obey? Learn the context of the verse by asking, who was the author? Who was it written to? When was it written? Record what you've learned either in the margins of your bible or a journal where you can write what God is teaching you.
Bible verses to memorize: Romans 12:1–3
ACTION PLAN: Over the next five weeks, our church will be memorizing chapter 12 of Romans. This week, memorize Romans 12:1 3 – 3. To help in this process, the church has developed a new "Journey" in the Saddleback App. It includes audio, quizzes, and multiple opportunities to listen to the verses, read along, and then repeat the verse along with the audio. Download the Saddleback Companion app in your app store to get started.
Big Idea:
The way it is is not the way it has to be.
God Can Transform for Good:
- My ways.
- My thoughts.
- My attitudes.
- My relationships.
- My worldview.
My Ways Transform When I:
- Respond properly to the character of God.
- Surrender completely to the ways of God.
There is no such thing as partial surrender.
- Obey promptly the voice of God.
