    True North

    Louie Giglio | July 10, 2022

Sometimes it’s easy to feel like we’re stuck on the train of life, going through the same things over and over again with no way to get off. This week, Pastor Louie Giglio talks about the significance of what Jesus did for us. Because of Jesus, we can step off the train of the mundane and into a brand new future.

    Message Action Plan

"And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified."
    1 Corinthians 2:1-2 (NIV)

    1. When my wounds are clouding my belief that God cares about me, the cross is my true north.

    2. When my loss is undermining my trust in God's goodness, the cross is my true north.

ACTION PLAN: Take your laments to God in prayer this week.  Let God know how you feel.  Spend as much time as you need to cover it all.  For some help in understanding how to lament, listen to this helpful conversation.

    1. When my circumstances are obscuring my confidence that God is in control, the cross is my true north.

    2. When my opinion of me is drowning out God's opinion of me, the cross is my true north.

    3. When enemy accusation is corrupting my belief in God's grace, the cross is my true north.

    4. When my current state is overshadowing my faith in God's future plan, the cross is my true north.

ACTION PLAN: What may be in your current state that is causing feelings of guilt or regret?  What did God already teach you or how have you already grown because of it?  Take 5 minutes a day this week to list out the good that God is working out from it.

    1. When the allure of temporary pleasure is calling louder than the invitation to eternal riches, the cross is my true north.

ACTION PLAN: Memorize 1 Corinthians 10:13 this week.  Ask God to show you the escapes He is providing in His promise.
