Choosing to let God use & Bless you: Blessing Others on Mission

    Dr. Ed Stetzer | March 25, 2018

In our series leading up to Easter, we’ve learned that choosing the right values will help you choose the right future. In this message at Saddleback Church, special guest Ed Stetzer teaches from the book of Matthew about seeing the blessing of the kingdom and how we can bless others. You’ll learn about the heart of Jesus and how to respond to others with Christlike compassion. Discover how to be used by God and the importance of being an ambassador of the kingdom this Easter!

    Message Action Plan

    Message Action Plan

    1. See the Blessing of the Kingdom – Matthew 9:35

“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness”Matthew 9:35 (NIV)

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”   Matthew 6:10 (NIV)

Action Plan: Read Matthew chapters 5-10 this week. Take your time while reading it and set aside time each day to think and pray about what you are reading.

    1. Feel the Compassion of Jesus – Matthew 9:36

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd”            Matthew 9:36 (NIV)

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.   The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.  “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—  just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.              John 10:11-15 (NIV)

“[Jesus] he had compassion on them and healed their sick”   Matthew 14:14 (NIV)

Action Plan: Set a time in your calendar this week to do Journey with Jesus. You can either visit the trail, listen to the app, or watch video of the trail on YouTube.Click herefor information.

    1. Pray and Be Used of God – Matthew 9:37-38

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field”                                                                                Matthew 9:37-38 (NIV)

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people”  Matthew 4:19 (NIV)

Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you”  John 20:21 (NIV)

Action Plan: Create a map or your neighborhood or your office and make a list of the people that are around you. Invite at least one person on your map to an Easter service this weekend.
