Invitation: full & utter dependence upon Jesus.
Successful does not equal fruitful.
Jesus’ instruction: Remain in me.
As we behold him, we become like him.
How to Remain in His Love?
- Remember the Lord throughout the day.
FAMILY ACTION PLAN: As a family, talk about ways you can remember God throughout the day. Maybe it’s sending short gratitude texts throughout the day, or it’s getting into a better rhythm of praying together. Share some ideas the next time you’re all together or in your family text thread.
- Repent of any sin that becomes evident.
PERSONAL ACTION PLAN: Set up little reminders for yourself to confess and repent regularly to God. When you build the habit, it becomes easier and more natural for you to confess to God. Also, consider identifying somebody you are close with and trust whom you could share your confessions with. - Return to the Lord when our hearts wander.
PERSONAL/FAMILY ACTION PLAN: Try to memorize John 15. Read it, either by yourself or as a family, out loud every day and see how much of it you can commit to memory.
