We all need a TRUTH TELLER.
We need:
- Honest friendships where we can all be CALLED ON.
ACTION PLAN: Begin each day praying for the Lord to reveal a person for you to check in with. If the Lord gives you a name, reach out to that person and initiate a real conversation about how they’re doing, going further than surface level answers to questions. If you feel unsure about who to reach out to, pay attention throughout your day for who in your life might need a true friend and continue to pray for God to create those opportunities as you go.
- Honest friendships where we can all be CALLED OUT.
ACTION PLAN: If we are to be friends that can call others out, we must first humble ourselves and learn to be honest about our own flaws. Read over Psalm 139:23-24 and pray over these specific verses. As you pray, ask the Lord to reveal in you any blind spots that you may have and to begin to humble your heart.
- Honest friendships where we can be CALLED UP.
ACTION PLAN: In a journal, reflect on a time when someone in your life called you up and refused to let you give up. Write about what that person did, why it impacted you the way it did, and then give God praise for using that person in your life to encourage you in a tough time.
