    Weakness Is the Way

    Jamin Goggin | October 3, 2021

We’ve all had to face the reality of our weakness through difficulty, hardship, and other kinds of painful experiences. In this message, Jamin Goggin teaches how God uses weakness to show his strength.

    Diving Deeper

    Message Action Plan

    1. GOD CALLS US __INTO__OUR WEAKNESS.

"He is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name" Acts 9:15 (ESV)

Action Step: (A 5-minute exercise) What is a weakness you've carried through much of your life? Write it down somewhere. Then look at it, think of all the ways this weakness has shown up in your life, then tell God all the emotions that arise as you look at that weakness written down. Listen to what God may say back.

    1. GOD CALLS US TO _EMBRACE__OUR  WEAKNESS.

"If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness" 2 Corinthians 11:30 (ESV)

Action Step: (A 5-minute exercise) Sometime this week, your weakness will show up…and someone may call it out. Instead of being defensive, with God's help, just admit your weakness. No defense, no excuses, just name that you are weak in that area. See what God does with that moment in you and through you.

    1. GOD CALLS US TO _FLOURISH_ IN  OUR WEAKNESS.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong"  2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (ESV)

Action Step: (A 1-week exercise) After writing down a weakness of yours on a paper, put it near your bed. Each morning when you wake up, look at that weakness, then pray "God, may your power be made perfect in my weakness today". Keep your eyes open to see what God does.
