"And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, 'Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. ACTION PLAN: Imagine that you are a shepherd in the field hearing the praise-filled declaration of the angels. Re-read the verses above and underline the words that would have filled you with awe. Turn these thoughts into your own declaration of praise for the glory of God now present on earth.

ACTION PLAN: As you prepare to celebrate Christmas this week, make a point to set aside ten minutes. Go outside and purposely look around at the beauty of God's creation. Instead of just enjoying what you see, talk to God with thanksgiving and praise for how the world points to His glory.
