How do we find the time to do friendship?
Investment that works:
- Invest IN PRAYING FIRST.
ACTION PLAN: Jesus being the Lord of our lives should be all-encompassing. His Lordship does not just affect our language, or how we spend our money, it changes how we approach the people that we do life with. So have you thought about asking God, “Who do you want me to be friends with?” Pray now asking for his wisdom to know in which friendships you should invest.
- Invest ALONG THE WAY.
ACTION PLAN: Memorize Acts 2:42. The early believers devoted themselves to four different practices. Of these four disciplines - learning from the apostles, fellowship, sharing in meals, and prayer - choose one that you can intentionally apply yourself to this week. For example, call a friend and invite them to dinner.
- Invest YOURSELF CONSISTENTLY AND SACRIFICIALLY.
ACTION PLAN: Choose to plant yourself in the ground of our church by joining a small group. Whether you are part of the online community, or belong to one of our campuses, go to our church website at https://saddleback.com/connect/smallgroups/join and make a commitment to belong to this body of believers.
